First Law Corporation is composed of seven lawyers with two articled students practising in the Lower Mainland with an office in New Westminster and the Okanagan with an office in Kelowna.
Our practice is confined to Family Law, Litigation, Settlement, Mediation, Arbitration, and as well, representation before any professional governing body.
Our practice is devoted to decreasing the cost of Family Law representation and expediting conclusion to decrease stress.
For over 20 years, our internal system has been based on the Barrister and Solicitor system operating for centuries in England. The Solicitors prepare cases for presentations to courts, opposing counsel, mediators and arbitrators and the Barrister appears to give effect to the submissions prepared by the solicitor.
In this system we have experience levels ranging from recent law school graduates to 40 years of practice. Rates range from $175.00 to $400.00 per hour. Please note, we offer the first hour of the initial consultation at 50% off our lawyers` regular rate.
Barristers are experienced and talented in court and have strategic overview of the file.
Court is not the only option. We offer lawyers with various levels of experience and expertise and provide a range of services including: Court Proceedings, Negotiations and Settlement Meetings and Family Law Mediation.
